Extractly update: easier uploads, smoother document review
What’s changing
Extractly’s next release improves the parts of document review users work with every day: uploading files, managing documents, and checking source information.
Planned for release at the end of the month, these changes are designed to help teams work more efficiently across multiple client files and supporting documents.
A more familiar way to manage files
The file manager has been redesigned to feel more like Windows Explorer. Users will be able to drag and drop files and folders to upload or move them, and double-click a file or folder to open it.
It will also be easier to see, at a glance, which documents contain extraction links and how many, and which documents have been processed with OCR versus read directly by Extractly without needing it.
Move between the file manager and document viewer with more focus
The document viewer has also been enhanced to help users move faster between managing files and reviewing them.
A new back button lets users return to the file manager without losing their place, and a new way to switch extraction type directly from the viewer means users no longer need to jump back to the Extractly tab in the Excel ribbon to do this.
Shaped by user feedback
Recent training sessions and customer conversations helped shape these improvements.
The team focused on the everyday steps that have the biggest impact on how users move from document intake to review.
What this means for users
Users will experience easier document uploading, a more familiar way to manage files and folders, and a faster way to move between reviewing documents and managing them.
Try the new experience when it becomes available and tell us what would make document review even easier.
