Caseware Netherlands to Launch Quality Management, AI-Powered Document Extraction and Enhanced Digital Signing at CwX

Nov 17 2025

SQM solution, Extractly and integrated document signing to be unveiled at flagship Dutch event

APELDOORN, NETHERLANDS, November 17, 2025: Caseware, the leading global audit, analytics and accounting software provider, will launch three powerful new solutions for the Netherlands market at CwX, its flagship thought leadership event taking place on November 25, 2025. The product launches will address critical needs in quality management, AI-driven data verification and digital document workflows, enabling accounting firms in the region to operate with greater efficiency and impact.

CwX will be held at Inspyrium in Cuijk, where accounting professionals are invited to gather under the theme “Elevate the Experience – Technology that Inspires People.” Three-time K-1 World Champion Remy Bonjasky will headline as keynote speaker, sharing lessons from his elite sporting career on performing under pressure, setting goals and unlocking team potential. His inspiring take on discipline and mindset will bring fresh energy to conversations about the evolving role of technology for accounting professionals.

Three Major Innovations to Transform Practice Operations

SQM: Modern Quality Management for Accounting Firms

The launch of Caseware’s Statement on Quality Management (SQM) solution will provide Dutch firms with a comprehensive platform for managing quality standards, risk assessment and compliance with ISQM requirements. The cloud-based system centralizes quality management processes, enabling firms to systematically document, monitor and improve their quality control frameworks while meeting regulatory obligations.

Extractly: AI-Powered Data Verification

Extractly, an AI-driven Excel add-in, fundamentally changes how auditors and financial professionals perform data-driven testing and document verification. The solution automates the extraction and validation of financial data, reducing manual effort while improving accuracy. Extractly will be included as part of bundled offerings for Caseware Netherlands customers and will also be available to new customers as part of their onboarding package. The solution represents a key component of Caseware’s global strategy to attract and serve accounting firms worldwide.

Digital Signing Now Embedded in SAMENSTEL+

Caseware has integrated digital document signing functionality directly within ValidSign. Previously, users needed to upload documents to external platforms to manage the signing process. Now, firms can initiate document signing, track progress and automatically store signed documents with complete audit trailsall within their SAMENSTEL+ engagement files. This integration eliminates inefficient email-based workflows and provides greater consistency, security and transparency for sensitive financial documents. Available since September 2025, this functionality is included as part of the standard SAMENSTEL+ offering at no additional cost.

“These innovations reflect our commitment to embedding powerful capabilities directly into the workflows Dutch accounting professionals use every day,” said Joost Ekkelboom, Director & Head of Growth, Europe at Caseware. “Whether it’s managing firm-wide quality standards with SQM, leveraging AI to verify data with Extractly or streamlining document signing in SAMENSTEL+, we’re eliminating friction and helping professionals focus on delivering exceptional client service.”

Caseware Unveils Market-Leading Group Audit and Analytics Capabilities at CwX UK

Oct 14 2025

New Cloud Audit features enable seamless management of complex group engagements and embed advanced data analytics into everyday audit workflows

LONDON, October 14, 2025: Caseware™, a global leader in AI-powered and cloud-enabled audit, financial reporting and data analytics solutions for accounting professionals, today announced two major enhancements to its Cloud Audit platform at CwX UK, its flagship global thought leadership event. The releases deliver critical capabilities for audit firms managing complex group structures while embedding advanced data analytics directly into standard audit procedures.

Transforming Group Audit Management

Caseware’s new Group Audit and Central Planning functionality enables firms to manage parent and component audits within a single cloud engagement for the first time. Engagement leaders can now assign, track and consolidate risks, controls and procedures across group structures without duplicating work or relying on disconnected files.

Key capabilities include:

  • Group Audit in One File: Manage parent and component audits within a single cloud engagement.
  • Common Work Areas: Identify and share common risks, controls and procedures with component auditors.
  • Performance Materiality by Component: Document and track performance materiality thresholds for each component.
  • Copy Files to Subsidiary Entities: Automated file copying speeds up setup across group structures.
  • Enhanced Central Planning: Centralized risks, controls and procedures that can be adapted and reused across engagements.

The functionality, aligned with ISA 600 requirements, addresses one of the largest gaps in cloud audit adoption: support for group and consolidated audits. It is included as part of Caseware’s base Cloud Audit offering, providing a compelling migration incentive for firms still using desktop solutions.

Embedding Advanced Analytics into Audit Workflows

Caseware also announced its Mercia Summer Update, which embeds advanced data analytics (ADA) procedures directly into work programmes for the first time. Instead of ADA being an optional overlay, auditors now see specific linked Caseware ADA tests integrated into their standard audit workflow.

With more than 350 individual analytics tests available, ADA procedures span critical audit areas including:

  • Trial Balance and Journals: Tests for high-value entries, rounded amounts, related party summaries, duplicates and unusual items.
  • Income, Debtors, Creditors and Expenditure: ADA procedures across core audit datasets.
  • Directors and Related Parties: Tests for identifying unusual related-party transactions.

According to Simon Warren, managing director of Caseware UK, “These releases represent a fundamental shift in how firms approach complex audits. We’re not just matching desktop functionality – we’re surpassing it. Group Audit gives engagement leaders unprecedented visibility and control across multi-entity structures, while our embedded ADA approach makes advanced analytics part of everyday audit rather than optional extra work.”

Dave Rowley, technical consultant/author, Mercia UK added, “Mercia and Caseware are kindred spirits, and we value our strong strategic partnership. Caseware aspires to deliver meaningful change – helping professionals to work more efficiently and with greater insight. At Mercia, we too aim to help people to do the right business in the right way. There is strong alignment there with both organisations focused on making the audit process high quality, leveraging technology to deliver the best possible outcomes.”

The integrated approach normalizes ADA usage by making analytics a standardized part of audit programmes rather than leaving them as optional extras, helping auditors detect anomalies faster while reducing manual testing and enhancing audit quality.

Both the Group Audit and Central Planning functionality and the Mercia Summer Update with embedded ADA are available now as part of Caseware Cloud Audit for UK firms, with Irish and specialist solutions to follow.

Announced at CwX UK

Both releases were unveiled at CwX UK, taking place on October 14 in London. CwX is Caseware’s flagship global experience. More than a conference, it’s a strategic platform designed to unite top firms, industry authorities and technology pioneers. With a focus on cloud adoption, AI-driven workflows and digital transformation, CwX brings together leaders, innovators and influencers from across the profession to exchange ideas, showcase transformative technologies and shape the future direction of accounting and audit – underlining Caseware’s commitment to powering trust in the global economy.

CwX Germany took place on September 11, while CwX APAC and CwX Netherlands are scheduled for November 13 and 25 respectively.

Caseware Netherlands Launches SCOPE+: a Cloud Solution that Transforms Special Engagements Beyond Audit, Review and Compilation

Oct 09 2025

New application empowers firms to expand services with flexibility, professionalism and control – filling a critical market gap

APELDOORN, October 9, 2025: Caseware™, a global leader in AI-powered and cloud-enabled audit, financial reporting and data analytics solutions for accounting professionals, today announced the launch of SCOPE+. This specially developed cloud application offers accounting and consulting firms the flexibility to manage special assignments such as subsidy audits, assignments under the Youth Act and specifically agreed-upon work (COS 4400).

Unlike many software providers that focus solely on compilations and audits, Caseware has developed SCOPE+ to provide support for assignments that fall outside the ‘standard set.’ The strength of SCOPE+ lies in its flexibility. Firms define the scope of each engagement, while still working in a structured, professional and fully cloud-based environment. This allows firms to expand their services, respond quickly to client-specific demands and deliver high-quality outputs without losing structure, control or efficiency.

Bas Sperling, feature owner at Caseware Netherlands, remarked, “Many firms are seeing a demand for more diverse and non-standard engagements. For example, subsidy audits, WNT assessments, assignments from the Long-Term Care Act (WLZ). Social Support Act (Wmo) or Youth Act but also reports based on COS 4400. These engagements have varied scope and different risk profiles, but still require professionalism, consistency, documentation and transparency. With SCOPE+, firms gain a secure, cloud-based solution that brings structure, consistency and professionalism to these engagements, while maintaining the agility to respond to client-specific needs.”

The key benefits firms will experience with SCOPE+ are:

  • Full flexibility and customization where standard tools fall short – firms can define the scope, method and reporting format for each engagement, rather than forcing projects into rigid templates. This ensures each assignment (including subsidy checks and other specifically agreed tasks) precisely matches the client’s needs.

  • Built in best practices for optimized professionalism and consistency – even in non-standard work, teams can deliver polished, high-quality outputs with ready-made templates and structured workflows for common assignments (including subsidy controls, WNT, WLZ, WMO and Youth Act). This enables firms to start quickly with professional, compliant frameworks.

  • Cloud-based collaboration and security – workflows are centralized, secure and accessible anytime, anywhere, and teams can work securely with robust data protection and streamlined communication between colleagues and clients.

  • Efficiency and quality assurance – SCOPE+ provides clear workflows, review tools and data reuse to help firms save time, reduce duplications, identify risks early and maintain consistent quality across all special assignments.

With the introduction of SCOPE+, Caseware reinforces its market leadership by offering the first dedicated cloud solution for non-standard engagements – uniquely enabling firms to seize new opportunities, strengthen client relationships and scale services with confidence.

Accounting professionals will also have the chance to experience SCOPE+ live at CwX 2025, Caseware Netherlands’ annual customer event. Taking place on November 25 at Inspyrium in Cuijk, the event offers accountants and advisors the opportunity to see the solution in action, discover the latest innovations across the Caseware platform and connect with peers and experts through a full day of keynotes, sessions and live demos.
