Get started with Caseware Audit - Staff

Before you get started with Caseware Audit, ensure that your firm administrator completes the necessary prerequisites.

To start, sign in to your firm's Cloud site. As a staff member, the actions you can perform include:

• Set up the engagement using the Engagement Optimiser

• Perform acceptance and continuance procedures

• Send the engagement letter and the Request for Information to the client

• Import the client's data

• Document the understanding of the entity and its environment

• Define materiality

• Document risk assessment procedures

• Walk through and evaluate controls

• Test the design, implementation and operating effectiveness of controls (where applicable)

• Add identified risks and controls

• Modify and review risks and controls

• Document the audit response and complete fieldwork procedures

• Review work programs and checklists using Review Tools

• Document the summary of misstatements and control deficiencies

• Assess subsequent events and going concern

• Prepare the financial statements and audit report

• Communicate with management and those charged with governance

• Complete quality management and engagement quality review procedures

• Wrap up and lock down the engagement
