Complete the Engagement Optimiser
The OPT Engagement Optimiser is the starting point for every Caseware Audit engagement. It captures the engagement's basic description and acceptance/continuance considerations, and its responses drive the visibility of nearly every other document in the engagement.

The checklist also includes a Guidance tab that describes the purpose and scope of the document as it relates to regulatory standards.
The OPT Engagement Optimiser also captures preferences and considerations relating to acceptance and continuance, engagement team composition, group audit considerations, use of experts and specialists, contingencies, segment reporting, related parties, controls testing approach, and a wide range of other engagement-level decisions. Each response either populates a corresponding downstream document or hides it from the engagement.
Complete the OPT Engagement Optimiser, then select the Next step link to proceed to the document that you need to complete next.
At any point during this process, you can view a list of the current documents in the engagement by selecting the Documents (
) icon. A panel opens with the available documents grouped by phase. You can select a document to open it, pin it for quick access using the pin icon (
) and search for other documents using the search field.
To sign off on the OPT Engagement Optimiser document, select the Sign Off icon (
) at the top-right corner of the document and choose the applicable role for your signoff.
