Data Request Definition

In this dialog box you can create a Data Request tree.

When you open this dialog box for the first time only a root element is shown. The name proposed by default for the root node is the name you entered when creating the Data Request. You can change the name in the Data Request Name field. This name is the Data Request name as it appears in the Data Request tree of the Data Request dialog in SmartAnalyzer. You can use backslash (\) in the name to create a child node in the Data Request tree of SmartAnalyzer. Below the root element you can only create one sublevel (with several child elements).

You cannot create new root elements.

Step-by-Step

  1. Click Add a data request node to create a Data Request.
  2. To enter a name click the Data Request Name field and overwrite the displayed name. The name you enter here will be shown for the Data Request in the Select the Data Request to be generated drop-down list in SmartAnalyzer.
  3. In the Data Request Type field select the type for each Data Request.
  4. Depending on the selected type different fields will be displayed.

    • If you have selected Static Data Request, you can select a template in RTF, PDF or DOCX format.
    • Click Dynamic Data Request to open a dialog box of the same name in which you can create a dynamic Data Request.
    • The SmartExporter Data Request (legacy) allows you to select a special type of file. If you create a Data Request using the SAP - SmartExporter Data Request option, the SmartAnalyzer.info file will be created. This file is located in the .../Other.ILB folder. The file contains information on the request data. You can only select this type of files by clicking the Browse button.
    • The SmartExporter Data Request option allows you to select a SmartExporter Data Request XML file. The fields Modify General Filter Template and Check mergeability will be activated. Modify General Filter Template allows you to specify a general filter template for the current request. Click the Browse button to open the General Filter Templates dialog box. It is not mandatory to specify a general filter template.
Click the Browse button in the Check mergeability field to open the Check Data Request Mergeability dialog box. There you can check whether two or more Data Requests can be merged into a single SmartExporter Data Request. It is not mandatory to run this check.

Use the arrow keys to move the different nodes up or down.
