Use the Other (schemaless) dataset type
The Other dataset type allows you to import unstructured transaction data that does not conform to a predefined schema. Unlike the structured dataset types (such as General Ledger or Trial Balance), schemaless data has no fixed fields, which affects where it can be used within the application.
Where you can use Other (schemaless) data
Dataset viewer Schemaless data is queryable and viewable in a grid/table format from the Datasets page.
Analytics The Other dataset type can be used as an input for running analytics. Because there is no predefined schema, column mapping is required to identify the relevant fields before the data can be processed.
Analytics Hub Analytic outputs derived from schemaless data can be displayed in the Analytics Hub and chained into other analytics workflows. Currently, only Attribute sampling and Random sampling are supported for the schemaless datasets in Analytics Hub.
Where you cannot user Other (schemaless data)
The following features require structured data conforming to a predefined schema and do not support the Other dataset type:
-
Trial Balance
-
Financial Statements
-
Account-to-group mapping
-
Automap
