Introducing Verity—Market release

Verity is Caseware Cloud's AI intelligence layer, built directly into the engagement workflow rather than alongside it. When you ask a question, Verity reasons simultaneously across your live engagement context — identified risks and controls, materiality thresholds, uploaded documents, checklist responses, and financial statement data — alongside your firm's methodology and authoritative professional standards, including the AICPA Online Professional Library for US users in specific solutions. The result is guidance calibrated to your actual situation, not a generic answer that requires you to re-explain your client.

Every response is fully cited: you can trace each finding back to the specific standard, firm guidance document, or engagement evidence that informed it.

Verity handles the full range of engagement questions: interpreting a standard in the context of your client's risk profile, reviewing a completed checklist for inconsistencies against uploaded workpapers and trial balance data, identifying undocumented risks, analyzing financial statement fluctuations, or surfacing what your firm's methodology requires for a specific procedure. For multi-step questions, Verity plans its own retrieval — calling the right sources in sequence — rather than relying on a single pass.

Verity is rolling out to Caseware Cloud firms

Verity is available to Caseware Cloud firms. Firm administrators enable access for individual users through Settings. To request access to Verity, contact your Caseware account manager. For setup instructions, see Get started with Verity — Firm administrator.

Verity is the next generation of Caseware AiDA. AiDA remains available during the transition period; firms will be upgraded to Verity on a rolling basis. AiDA will be deprecated once the transition is complete.

Engagement-grounded Q&A

Verity answers questions grounded in your live engagement context. When you ask a question, Verity reads your engagement data in real time and draws from multiple sources simultaneously: your live engagement data, your firm's knowledge bases, and Caseware-published knowledge bases such as AICPA authoritative standards for US engagements in solutions where available.

Feature highlights:

  • Ask questions about risks, materiality, checklists, financials, adjustments, issues, engagement properties, and uploaded PDFs

  • Get answers grounded in your firm's methodology and authoritative standards

  • Receive cited responses that link directly to the source data behind each answer

  • Start multiple conversation threads within an engagement

Asking Verity a question about trial balance variances:

The Verity chat panel with a question typed asking which accounts have balances over $100K that moved more than 20% from prior year.

Verity returns trial balance accounts with balances over $100,000 that moved more than 20% from prior year, drawn from the live engagement:

The Verity response showing a table of accounts with balances over $100K and year-over-year movement exceeding 20%, with key observations below.

Citations

Every Verity response includes citations. Select a citation to navigate to the exact source: a specific checklist response, a passage in an uploaded PDF, a section in a knowledge base, or a standard in the AICPA OPL.

Selecting a citation to navigate to the source document:

The Verity chat panel showing a response with citation chips. A citation chip is selected, showing a preview of the source passage with a link to view the full document.

GA scope

Verity is read-only at GA, May 2026. Verity can access and reason over your engagement data but does not make changes to checklists, risks, financial statements or any other engagement content.

AICPA authoritative standards are available in some US solutions. For other products, Verity draws from your firm's knowledge bases if your firm has uploaded relevant guidance.
