Requirements

To run a generic report, the following requirements should be met:

  • You should know the name of the report defined in SAP® and should know how it works. If, instead of the report name, you know the SAP® transaction that calls the report, you can use the transaction instead.
  • As of SmartExporter SAP® components version 8, only reports or SAP® transactions that have been previously entered by the SAP® administrator in the reports whitelist /AUDIC/SE_REPORTS can be called. Otherwise, the SmartExporter end user will receive a corresponding error message when checking the Data Request.

  • Access to the SAP® system to run the report can be helpful when creating the Data Request.

All the other information required can be obtained via SmartExporter.

The shipped Data Request template for the generic report call is used as the basis. This template contains settings for the RAGITT_ALV01 report as an example. This template contains special Quick-Filters that allow you to customize the Data Request specifically to the needs of the desired report.

The topics below contain a detailed description of how to customize the Data Request template so that it can be used for any report. For the instructions the RFBILA00 report is used as an example.
