Known issues
The following known issues affect the current version of Working Papers and related products.
CaseView frequently displays script errors when opening documents on Windows 11
Solution: See Frequent script errors when opening CaseView documents on Windows 11 .
Working Papers reports a time tampering issue and locks the application when the system time has not been modified
Solution: Complete the standard time cleaning process. For instructions, see Time Tampering .
Document links to external Microsoft Office files may open files from other engagements
Workaround: Downgrade your Office installation to version 2309 or earlier.

Launch Command Prompt as an administrator (right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator).

Run the following command: - cd %programfiles%\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\ClickToRun\

Run the command applicable to your Office channel (note that this issue does not currently affect Office semi-annual channels):

Print Preview display issue in CaseView on Windows 11
When scrolling through the Print Preview of a CaseView document using the mouse wheel, the preview may not render correctly and can appear distorted. This issue occurs on computers running Windows 11 version 24H2 and does not affect earlier versions.
Workaround: Scroll using the scroll bar, keyboard, or ribbon navigation buttons.
Working Papers cannot open Cloud engagement files

Scenario
When attempting to download or open a Cloud SmartSync engagement, Working Papers may close unexpectedly.
Impact
This issue affects SmartSync customers using Working Papers with Caseware Cloud. It does not affect local or on‑premises SmartSync configurations.
Cause
A regression in a recent Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime update.
Status
Caseware is working with Microsoft toward a permanent resolution.
Resolution
A supported workaround is available through Caseware Support. Refer to Working Papers cannot open Caseware Cloud engagement files on my.caseware.com.
