Authorization concept for the use of the SAP® standard components

An authorization is checking whether a user has the necessary rights to run a certain action in the SAP® system. Each authorization is related to an authorization object and defines one or more values for each authorization field included in the authorization object. Authorizations are collected in a profile. This profile will be applied to a role, which is kept in the master record of the user.

To use SmartExporter specific authorizations have to be implemented. These authorizations have to be assigned to the SAP® user the external SmartExporter Windows clients will use to log in to the SAP® system via RFC. Hereinafter the term "SmartExporter end user" will always be used in place of the SAP® user profile which is used for the SmartExporter RFC connections.

Note:

The values assigned to the authorization objects of the role described shall be used as template (role template). Any customer specific adjustments have to be done by the administrator.
