Using the different licenses

Which of the developer licenses you can use depends on the IDEA version for which you want to create an app. You need one license to create apps for IDEA 11.3 or higher, while you can use the other one to create apps for IDEA 11.2 or previous versions.

The developer licenses can be distinguished based on the Unicode character in front of the name:

  • Use the developer license with the character before the name to create apps for IDEA 11.2 or previous versions.
  • For apps that are to be used with IDEA 11.3 or higher, please use the developer license with the Unicode character in front of the name.

You can select the appropriate developer license by clicking on Active License in the status bar.
