Manage Properties
Properties are mainly used for filter purposes in the Select & Run audit grid and in the Audit Test Navigator tree. The most important property is the Audit Test Navigator property. The values of this property are used to filter the entries of an Audit Test Navigator tree.
There are two modes available:
- Create / edit mode
- Translation mode
When launching a dialog the Create / edit mode is active by default.
- Click the New Property icon.
- Enter a name for the new property.
- Select the data type.
- Enter a name for a property value and confirm your entry with a click on the Apply the property value icon. The maximum length of a property value is 128 characters.
- Select the Allow Multiple Selection option if the audit test is not period-dependent. In this version the Use as Hidden Property option is only to be used within Caseware. Other developers should not use this option.
- Select the property value to be the default value and click the Set Default Value icon. In case you want to specify more than one default value, the Allow Multiple Selection checkbox has to be checked. Now it is possible to set more than one default value. If no default value is selected, SmartAnalyzer will define one as default.
- To edit a property select the property and click Edit the property value.
- Click the Apply and Close icon.
- Select the property to be deleted in the Property List.
- Click the Delete Property icon. You can only delete properties created with the current license.
If you click the Cancel icon, all changes will be discarded.
In the translation mode you cannot create or edit a property. For existing properties you can translate the name and the value into the language selected in the Translate into drop-down list. It lists all languages which were previously selected in the Select Supported Languages dialog box.
The Search function is available in both modes.
- Click the Translation Mode icon to change the mode. To go back to the Create / edit mode click this icon again.
- From the Translate into drop-down list select the language the name and the value should be translated into.
- Select a property and translate the name.
- Click the Edit Property / Value icon. Now you are in the Create / edit mode.
- Translate the name of the value.
- Click the Apply Property value icon. The Translation mode is active again.
- Click the Apply and Close icon.
