Use Financials and Audit in a file

Users can integrate documents from both the Financials and Audit templates into a single Working Papers file. Being able to combine the different documents enables you to streamline your engagement process. This procedure is not applicable to master template files.

Prerequisites:

  • Before combining documents from the two templates, your template author must ensure a consistent mapping and/or grouping structure is used in both templates. We recommend replacing the mapping/grouping structure in the Audit template with the structure used in the Financials template.

To update your Audit mapping/grouping structure:

  1. Download and extract the IFRS Mapping file to a folder on your desktop.
  2. Launch Working Papers. In the File menu, click Templates, select the Audit template, then click Edit.
  3. On the ribbon, click File | Copy Components | Copy Into This File.
  4. Select the File tab, then click Browse.... Locate the downloaded IFRS Mapping file, then click Open. Click Next.
  5. Select the following components option, then select Groupings/Mappings. Under the Groupings/Mapping pane, ensure Mapping and L/S are selected.
  6. Beside Mapping, click Options.... In the Mapping Copy Options dialog, select Replace with source file's mapping structure. Click OK.
  7. Beside L/S, click Options.... In the L/S Copy Options dialog, select Replace with source file's L/S structure. Click OK | Next.
  8. Click Next, then Finish to complete the Wizard.

You have updated the mapping/grouping structure of the Audit template. Ensure to repackage the Audit template, and then proceed to update your Financials template.
