Working Papers stops responding when sync files can’t connect

Working Papers stops responding when a sync file can’t connect to CaseWare Cloud (Cloud) or SmartSync Server (SSS).
To continue working on a sync copy, you’ll need to change the SmartSync startup settings.
To change the SmartSync startup settings:
- If Working Papers remains unresponsive, use Task Manager to end the application.
- Launch Working Papers. On the File menu, click Options.
- In the Options dialog, select General from the Properties menu.
- Under SmartSync, select Offline in the Startup drop-down menu.
- Click OK.
Sync files will now start in an offline state and will respond normally. Change your Synchronization Status to online (Cloud | Go Online or SmartSync | Go Online). When your connection to Cloud or SSS returns, you can change the Startup option back to Default.
