Cannot log into Quickbooks Online through Export Utility

Affected Version: QB Utility and Quickbooks Online


Issue: After signing into a Quickbooks Online account, the Quickbooks Export Utility becomes unresponsive on the connecting screen when exporting a file.



  1. Open Control Panel | Default Program | Set Default Programs.
  2. In the Programs pane, browse and select Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge.
  3. Click Set this program as default.
  4. Ensure QuickBooks Online is running in the background.
  5. Export using the utility 1.069.
