- Corrected the Check In functionality to properly handle a folder that was added from a Document Library.
- Amended the feature "Create a new file from client data" when choosing a file with locked accounts.
- Improved the handling of client files that end with a period.
- Resolved the error message "Working Papers is unable to open this client file" when opening compressed client files.
- Corrected the program from closing when the Issues display type is set to "Issues by Type" and the Type drop-down menu is selected for any issue.
- Fixed the Issues feature to prevent inactive staff from being displayed in the "Assigned To" list.
- Corrected the Batch PDF export to allow the reordering of PDF documents in the PDF Export dialog screen.
- Added custom balance columns to the Performance Measures tab of the Working Trial Balance.
- Resolved the print orientation to print in portrait correctly when printing an entry from the Adjusting Journal Entries worksheet.
- Fixed the consolidation feature for adjusting journal entries, posted to tax export codes in an external entity file, to properly flow to the consolidated file.
- Fixed the Automatic CaseView Rounding feature to calculate the rounding difference in a non-yearly file properly.
- Corrected the "Autofill" feature to properly work with Group 10 information.
- Updated Payroll to reflect the new FICA for 2008.
- Improved the interaction between Working Papers and Connector to prevent issues when there are multiple users involved.
- Improved the Adagio Ledger v9.0 import when handling prior year adjustments and deleted accounts.

- Corrected the Sage 2008 import to handle the

- Established the ability to choose which entities to include in a tax export. This has been implemented for CCH ProSystem fx Tax, GoSystem Tax, Lacerte, and Ultra Tax.
- Added support for Federal Tax Form 8916-A page 2 for Lacerte and GoSystem fx Tax.
- Improved the launching of Word documents from the Document Manager for Vista operating systems.
- Enhanced the Add PPC Content feature to allow for the long document numbering of PPC documents.
- Fixed an alignment issue with automatic documents set with the Consolidated View and with columns that have been modified. The Net Incomes now appear properly with each column.
- Corrected the drilldown details when drilling down on an entry in the Account Analysis automatic document to display only the data related to the entry.
- Corrected the calculation of budget or forecast balances in automatic documents that have the Balances field set to Active/Comparative or Active/Cmp1/ Cmp2 and that have adjusting journal entries made to a grouping.
- Corrected the Leadsheet and Trial Balance automatic documents in Report order to display subtotals correctly.
- Improved the performance of launching consolidated automatic documents.
- Enhanced the Tax Reconciliation automatic document to include Other Basis adjustments in the Adjusted Tax Balance.
- Fixed the display of PDF documents when viewed through the Internal Image Viewer of Document Link documents.
- Corrected the Structures feature to work with the Group 10 grouping.
- Corrected the WHOAMI function to work properly through Connector.
- Amended Packager to display version numbers correctly when repackaging a patched template.
- Improved the performance of launching CaseView documents from signed out client files.
- Fixed the display of date cells with the Calendar Control input option.
- Fixed the Calculation Organizer to recognize changes to all calculation types.
- Removed the 256 character limit for Browse functions.
- Amended the export to RTF for borders to appear proportionally.

Requirements
CaseWare Working Papers - Minimum Supported Configuration
WORK STATIONS
Operating systems
To run CaseWare Working Papers, you require a personal or multimedia computer with one of the following operating systems:

Microsoft Windows Vista Service Pack 1 or higher

Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2 or higher (Recommended)

Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4 or higher
Hardware

Pentium III or higher required.

Minimum 512MB RAM. For improved performance or with Windows Vista, 1,024MB or more is recommended.

Program requires 150 MB hard drive space.

Each client file requires on average 40MB uncompressed or 10MB compressed. The size of open client files will vary depending on the features used and the amount of data entered.
Working Papers has native compression technology that significantly reduces the size of compressed client files. -
SVGA monitor capable of 256 colors and 800 x 600 resolution is required. A monitor with 1280 x 1024 resolution or higher is recommended.
Dual monitors are supported. -
CD-ROM drive. The Working Papers product is distributed on CD-ROM.
Updates between CD releases are available as downloads from the CaseWare International Inc. website. High-speed internet connection is recommended for downloading program updates.

FILE SERVER/NETWORKS
A file server can be used to store Working Papers client files.

WINDOWS NETWORKING ("Peer-to-Peer")
In situations where a workstation is to be substituted for a true file server, we strongly recommend that the operating system for the workstation be Windows 2000 Professional (Service Pack 4 or higher) or Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2 or higher).
Terminal Services:
A Terminal or Citrix Server can host Working Papers program sessions for users. Requirements include:
- Microsoft Windows Server 2003 with Terminal/Citrix Services
- Microsoft Windows 2000 Server with Service Pack 4 or higher and Terminal/Citrix Services
- Citrix MetaFrame XP, Presentation Server, XenApp 4.5
- Server hardware configuration needs to be scaled (RAM, CPU) for the number of sessions to be hosted and the applications and templates used.
- For optimal performance, Working Papers client files should be stored on the Terminal/Citrix Server or connected to it via a high-speed network connection.
