- Resolved speed issues when:
- Deleting an invoice;
- Performing processing functions in the Billing screen while the WIP report is open in the background.
- Added the ability to change billing options if an invoice is applied.
- Fixed the issue where write-up/down amounts were not being recalculated correctly.
- Fixed the rounding calculations for the Processing dialogs. Previously, the rounding was not being calculated properly for certain calculations, which would result in incorrect amounts.
- Fixed the issue where records were being created in the database without a staff ID or proper default values.
- Corrected the problem in which some characters in the text were being dropped when typing in reference or memo fields.
- Created error diagnostics for Dates. When running a diagnostics report, Time checks all the tables with dates to verify that all the date fields are valid. Time displays a "C700 – Invalid Date" error message if it finds any invalid date fields and displays the affected tables automatically.
- Added the following error diagnostics to the Work in Process report:
- "C210 – Work code has WIP transactions with wrong work code type";
- "C211 – Transaction must be approved".
- Fixed the "E203 – WIP write-up/down out of balance" diagnostic to correctly calculate the carry forward amounts in the write-up/down balance.
- Created a new critical error diagnostics error, "C108 – Record has data needing correction", to indicate if a bad record is written to the receivables table.
- Fixed the "Select All" button when sending emails or printing documents, so that it does not set all clients’ output as "Email", regardless of the settings selected in the client setup.
- Enhanced the imports so that they truncate text in the text files to the length of the field in the table.
- Added the ability to edit a work code type even if there are no entries for that work code.
- Corrected an issue for files using just departments, where changing a department for a staff member in the staff dialog was not updating the staff’s WIP transactions.
- Fixed the Time Exception document so that the actual hours are now calculated properly.
- Added a surcharge rate column to the WIP Monitor report for expenses.
- Enhanced the Detailed WIP and Time/Expense Journal Reports so that the extended description displays more characters per line.
- Added the ability to use the equation editor on all client table fields in the Client Reports.
- Added the "Include one client per page" option for all WIP detail reports.
- Created a document property for memo details in the Time and Expense Journal reports.
- Added the ability, from the WIP Reconciliation Report, to drill down on the ending balance to the WIP total summary report.
- Introduced an option to verify proper start dates in the budget entries for projects and subprojects.
- Fixed an issue in the Project dialog in which the amount and contract cells were not calculating decimels properly.
- Fixed the issue where columns were not aligning properly in the statements. To apply the fix, users need to click the "Restore Statement" button from the Company Profile – Statements tab. To correct the alignment, users can select "Auto fit all columns" to have the table adjust automatically to the page setup.

MICROSOFT TERMINAL SERVER
For users who access CaseWare products from multiple locations or would like to improve the speed accessing their files within the same location we suggest exploring Microsoft® Terminal Services.

Microsoft's Terminal Services can be further extended with the use of Citrix Systems Inc.'s Metaframe product line. The Metaframe product line improves performance, provides stronger security through encryption and authentication, and increases application accessibility.
