Working Papers Help Not Functioning In Windows Vista
Problem:
After installing Working Papers (version 2006.50.XXX or lower) on a Windows Vista workstation, the Help is no longer functioning. Instead, a message is displayed which reads "Failed to launch help" or "This Windows Help format is not supported in Vista".
Solution:
The Winhelp engine used by previous versions of Windows was modified in Vista. Numerous software packages which were making use of this engine would display a similar message when their Help component was accessed. Microsoft has released a fix for this problem which can be located at:
Note: this issue only affects versions of Working Papers 2006.50 and lower. The 2008 version makes use of an HTML Help system which is supported by Windows Vista without installing any additional components.
