Troubleshooting Connector and Microsoft Word

Problem:

I have Connector and though it works fine in Excel, it doesn't work in Word. What is the problem?

Solution:

Microsoft Word's built-in security measures may be preventing Connector from functioning.

  1. In Word, on the Tools menu, select Macro and then Security.
  2. On the Trusted Sources tab, ensure that the "Trust all installed add-ins and templates" check box is selected.

Connector should work correctly once this option is turned on.

If you are using Microsoft Office 2003 and your Connector problem persists after performing the step above, Word may have inadvertently added Connector is list of disabled items. To remove Connector from Microsoft Word's list of disabled items
  1. On the Help menu, select About Microsoft Office Microsoft Word
  2. Click the Disabled Items button.
  3. If Connector appears in the list of disabled items, highlight it and click Enable.
