Public Folder Setup

Problem:

How do I setup public folders?

Solution:

If you are using Today in public folders, the Today program has to be installed on each workstation that is accessing the Today forms in public folders.

After installation of the software, only one person needs to set up the Today forms and HTML files in the public folder of the Exchange Server. This must be a staff member with administrative rights.

The Today forms have to be set up only once and this can be done from any workstation.

Once the forms are set up, no other setup procedures are needed until it's time to upgrade to a new version of Today.

Exchange Server Rights

All users are able to view and access the forms in the public folders according to rights they are granted on the Exchange Server. The minimum "right" needed on the Exchange server to be allowed to synchronize between Time and Today is the ability to "write (create items)".

Today folder destination must be on a Microsoft Exchange Server public folder

The Web Page Destination must be set to on file server that is shared by users.
