FAQ: Time WebSheet 2009 General Troubleshooting
Problem:
Issues that may appear while using Time WebSheet 2009.
Solution:
| Issue | Solution |
| Unable to connect to Time WebSheet using Microsoft Internet Explorer. |
Confirm the URL is correct. The address should be in one of the following formats.
|
| The Open Company File dialog which allows a user to select which WebSheet to work on does not appear. |
An incompatibility issue with Google Toolbar v5.0 may be the cause. To confirm, disable the Google Toolbar in Microsoft Internet Explorer by selecting Tools | Manage Add-ons | Enable or Disable Add-ons. If the Open dialog launches correctly with the toolbar disabled, it is likely affected by this incompatibility and it will be necessary to upgrade the Google Toolbar to the most recent version. http://toolbar.google.com/T5/intl/en/index.html |
| No files are listed in the Open Company File dialog. |
Confirm files are configured for WebSheet access.
|
| A file is listed in the Open Company File dialog that should be removed. |
|
| Active Directory Authentication and logging into the company file. | When the Active Directory Authentication option is enabled in the Time file, you will need to use your network Username and Time 2009 password to log into the Time Websheet file.
For example, a user with the following user credentials:
- Staff no: GA - Username: Gary Adams - Time 2009 password: GA123 will log into the Time Websheet as "Gary Adams" and use "GA123" as the password. |
| A File has been opened in a higher version of Time message appears. |
The version and build numbers for CaseWare Time and Time WebSheet should be identical. One of the two components will likely need an upgrade patch installed. |
| Regional settings for date format have been changed on the workstation but those changes are not reflected in the Time WebSheet. |
Please refer to the WebSheet guide topic Changing the Tomcat Web Server Log On Properties. The option This Account selects the account on which the web server will run. Tomcat Web Server will inherit all settings and privileges from the selected account, including Regional settings. |
