Entering time in two fiscal periods - Multiple Year End Close
Problem:
Can I enter time in both my year 2007 CaseWare Time file as well as my 2008 Time file and then later do a year-end close again to the 2008 file?
Solution:
Multiple year-end closings cannot be performed to the same file name.
Once a year-end close has been performed, all work should be done in the new file. The original file is left intact for subsequent review and analysis.
Transactions and billings can be entered as future-dated entries that will then roll over to the "New Year" file once a year end close is performed.
