Entering other journal entries into a consolidated file
Here are the general rules for entering other journal entries into a consolidated file:
For a consolidation file containing external entities, Other Entries should be entered only at the external entity level since the consolidated file should reflect the final balances, before adjustments, of each external entity. Other Entries made in a consolidated file for external entities will be ignored.
For a consolidation file containing internal entities, Other Entries can be made only for the internal entities in the consolidation file.
For a consolidation file containing internal entities, Other Entries can be made only for the internal entities in the consolidation file.
