Displaying zero's

Problem:

How do I change the way zero's display in the financial statements.

Solution:

In the financial statements you are able to display zero’s as a single dash “-“, “0”, “NIL”, “N/A”, “nil”, double dash “-- “ or as a blank.

The selection from the Display zero as drop-down will apply to all tables that belong to the selection from the 'Group Label' drop-down.

To change how zero’s are displayed:

  1. In the Financial Statement Options document.
  2. Select General | Formatting | Groups
  3. Within Groups select one of the following options from the Group Label drop-down:
    • Numeric Table - includes the following tables: Balance Sheet Statement of Income Statement Statement of Retained Earnings Statement of Equity Statement of Comprehensive Income Statement of Cash Flows Additional Statements 1 - 8
    • Numeric Table Note - includes the following tables: Notes Schedules
  4. Select the appropriate option from the Display zero as drop-down.
  5. Click the Save button
  6. Click the Back button to return to the financial statements
