Defining Responses in CICA Templates

Problem:

The CICA Audit, Review and Compilation templates allow the firm to define their own responses to procedures. How is this configured? Can the response be configured to require an explanation?

Solution:

These changes should be made in the master template. Then a repackage/reinstall must be performed on each workstation.  

  1. Open the master template. 
  2. Open the Control Documents folder in the Document Manager. 
  3. Under the Options folder, open the General Options document.
  4. In the General Options document, select Completion Responses. 
  5. Set the number of responses in the appropriate drop-down. 
  6. Select the various responses or choose Other to create customized ones.
  7. For each response, select whether to allow for an explanation (optional by the staff) or require one (procedure cannot be signed off without one).
