CaseWare Europe Announces New Maltese Distributor

CaseWare International Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of a Maltese distributor (Audit Solutions) to its European distributor network. Audit Solutions will provide local support for CaseWare clients in Malta. In partnership with CaseWare International, Audit Solutions is in the process of developing a new GAPSE*-compliant IFRS Financials template to adhere to the new GAPSE standard that came into affect earlier this year. The new IFRS Financials template, planned to be released at the end of June, will provide accounting professionals in Malta with an automated system to produce GAPSE financial reports.

CaseWare IDEA products will continue to be distributed in Malta by CaseWare IDEA B.V.

*General Accounting Principles for Smaller Entities (GAPSE), which came into effect on January 1st, aim to reduce the financial reporting requirements for small to mid-sized private companies that satisfy certain qualitative criteria. Prior to GAPSE, reporting requirements for smaller entities imposed costs and restrictions that often outweighed the benefits of preparing financial statements. GAPSE may be applied during the preparation of financial statements covering periods ending on or after January 1st, 2009 and companies may also opt to continue with the IFRS instead of GAPSE.
