Office of the Revenue Commissioners of Ireland choose IDEA
CaseWare IDEA Inc. and AuditWare Systems Limited are delighted to announce that the Irish government tax collecting body, Office of the Revenue Commissioners, has recently acquired a national license for IDEA – Data Analysis Software.
Although the Revenue Commissioners have been users of the software for many years and many of their staff are fully trained in its use, it is now their intention to train a number of staff throughout Ireland and to make IDEA an essential tool in their IT auditing work. The government tax collecting agencies of several other European countries are also significant users of IDEA – in particular, the UK and Germany.
IDEA, the world’s most widely used data analysis and fraud investigation tool, is already well established in many other Irish government departments such as The Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General. A large number of other Irish financial institutions, accounting and industrial firms also make regular use of IDEA.
